I really enjoyed today! It was wonderful to have interviewed Mr. and Mrs. Stanford. I got some information from their experiences about my topic. I also loved how the reading for tonight was really short, but really interesting. Since my Ms. Eisemann is a teacher at the school, I never thought she would have been a fisherwoman at that time. She really cares about our nature from what she informed us about on her quick story. Al Burch's story provided us about a big lesson including an information that we can do anything to prevent an oil spill, they are going to happen again and next time we shall be more prepared. Unfortunately, Dennis Knaginstory was sad. He waited for money, but in the end he earned nothing. Stacy Studebaker was a teacher at that time so i never got to meet her, but would love too! I can't imagine opening a salmon can with the smell of oil!!! GROSSSS.....
Anyway from Dawn Black's video, I has struggles watching it at home because it takes along time to load and i tried to download it, but it took along time too! In the end, i got it to work. I was a little confused at the beginning. I thought she was going to talk, but it was only pictures. From my understanding, the building that lays across the teen center down town was known as "Katmai National Park & Preserve." and the buildings here in Kodiak had the Veco sign on their window. At the end of the video Ms. Black was at a building with other people and there was a map and from what i heard they were trying to figure out how to get a person out of an island. I watched the part from the site not downloaded.
Yeah, that website was kinda weird. I really liked the reading passage because everyone had a different story and they were dramatically different. Some people had the advantage but some people were the low of the low.
ReplyDeleteWow. 8)
ReplyDeleteYou published about what you liked and express your feelings! Well I know your feelings because I couldn't watch the video, but at least you watched it anyways
ReplyDeleteThanks for the description in the video, now I know what it is about .
ReplyDeleteI love your detailed observations from each reading - it's as if you caught the essence of what was most important in each reading and wrote it in one sentence each. I enjoyed your GROSSSSS. :) Dawn Black's videos would make great b-roll - she wasn't making movies but rather collecting rough footage of the aftermath. Thank you for taking the time to watch it!
