Ms. Black’s interview seemed really LONG! Although it was long, I am hoping that the recording will be useful for my video. When I got home, I had trouble looking for a part that I needed, but unfortunately it wasn’t recorded! A really weird part of Ms. Black’s interview was the camera turned off when she yelled “TURN OFF THE VIDEO CAMERA!” this part was when she was on the cargo boat. I found it really weird because I never though the camera would be able to pick up sounds and automatically turn off. I really enjoyed interviewing Ms. Black although she really goes deep with a topic. Anyway today’s class went by really fast.
The reading was all right it informed about physiological and social distress and how you can get a terrible trauma after a horrifying disaster. The oil spill can be describe in one word according to my understanding “STRESS!” One word that stood out to me on the reading was “spillionaries “ It made me laugh how creative the writer is. This word was created because some businesses lost money while some just made A LOT! I learned that in some smaller communities like all natives, almost all adults that still function worked on cleaning up the MESS. A quote that stood out to me is “ Home has not only changed in people’s minds, it has also been changed by the experiences of the oil spill and clean up itself.
Wow . haha. Your camera listens to Dawn Black lol. The interview was long, I didn't really get a chance to ask one of my other questions. She went real deep into the topic, it was awesome ! :D
ReplyDeleteThat is wird and funny how the camera turned off when she yelled. I also like how the word "spillionares" was created
ReplyDelete.
Spillionares is a cool word. I wonder if you can create a new word by just adding the word ionares.
ReplyDeleteI really like the way Ms. Black speak! I could totally understand what she saying! And also that's weird about the camera... There could be times that's weird in the whole, wide world.
ReplyDeleteMaybe its a robot!
